Scottish Clan Scarf : Russell Modern
- Available to order
This material is 100% wool. The name stems from 'rous' or 'rousel', meaning 'red', and would originally have applied to someone with red hair. The clan is recorded in Scotland from the twelfth century, and came to hold lands near Elgin, Aberdeenshire, Banffshire, and the Borders. Playing a key role throughout the centuries in Scotland's story, the clan was also closely linked to the equally proud Clan Cumming.
The brief history of the clan is written on label along with the motto and crest.
